Deja vu a la Morato

Handouts and copies of documents given out at Morato’s latest press conference, it lasted almost three hours and it was like deja vu; a replay of what has already been said. But I give credit to Manoling this time, he actually had the audacity to give some stupid but striking statements.
Here are some of them and my thoughts about it.
1. “Who would know that another Armida (Siguion Reyna) would surfaced in my life again who is more sadistic because Armida is bruha (on Margie Juico).
Calling Juico sadistic is really out of the picture, no basis and full of crap. And why does he have to bring Armida to the picture? Their issue was over a long time ago but he just can’t keep his mouth shut. Manoling wants to get noticed and he’s doing it the wrong way, calling people’s names is just so childish. Why don’t you act your age?
2. “Pare-pareho sakin ang tao. I don’t care if the president will come here, a driver or a poor person.”
You say that, we think otherwise. You think you could do anything with money; you bribe people, cases pending because you hold them at their throat. You steal from the poor and use it to buy paintings, buildings and resorts. How dare you say that you are equal to us! You’re not even close to being human with what you did. You are making this country sick.
3. “Buhay lahat ang tinulungan ko, sila all patay. Ano ang mahalaga Buhay o Patay?”
You kidding me? Buhay lahat? Don’t talk like you could cure all illness. First of all, it’s not your money; second, you would be taken out of position if you won’t help the needy and lastly, you are exaggerating your statements. Saying that all who asked for help died since Juico had the position? You are one sick bastard Manoling. Poor you.
4. “Silence only proves that she is guilty”
You should know better Manoling, less talk, less mistake. In your case, more talk, more cases filed against you. She was never silent about the issue; you just don’t want to accept her explanation about what happened. In fact, she doesn’t have to explain to you. You only hear what you want to hear that’s why you keep on asking the same set of questions over and over again. If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results then I guess you are every sense of the word.
5. “Sue me!”
Sue you? No way! I’d rather shoot you dead at pointblank than let you get away again with what you’ve done. I know you are good in bribing people, there is no chance in hell that I’d let you stain our countries justice system again. You act like you’ve done nothing wrong, speak like you were always right, walk like you own the road but truth be told, you are as dirty as muck.

The Poetry of Corruption

I can help you
If you help me
I can free you
If you pay me
I can waste you time
Because I have the power
You can pay me off
Or you can sit for hours
Because I have the power
It is not about right or wrong
They did it to me, I do it to you
It will be your turn, you won't wait long.
Because corruption breeds corruption
You learn from me and then do the same
So, I take my turn as long as I can
Until it is your turn to play the game

iPad for Kidneys!

The 17-year-old boy, known only by his last name, "Zheng", wanted to buy an iPad 2, but he didn't have the money for it so he surfed the internet and found and advertisement posted by an agent saying that they are willing to pay around $3395.06 for a kidney thus he traveled up north to the city of Chenzhou and after three days came back with an iPad2 and a laptop, what he always wanted. They say that it’s a common practice in china to trade organs online, it’s a booming business. Transplant tourists as they call those who go to china to buy fresh organs and bring it back to their country. They are willing to pay as much as $72,000 for it making the illegal trade a good source of money, driving an almost unstoppable black-market organ trade that enriches brokers, doctors and corrupt government officialsThe boy, who has suffered complications following the surgery, returned home but was unable to keep what he had done from his mother, he had a laptop and a new Apple handset. His mother eventually found out about what he did and reported what happened to the authority. They are currently on an investigation and on a hunt to catch those responsible for the surgery.
This month is Kidney Awareness Month and doctors continue to educate us to take care of it, not only this month but all of our lives. Our kidneys main function is to separate urea, mineral salts, toxins and other waste products from our blood. It also conserves water, salt and electrolytes. According to science, even one out of the two should be functioning well to help us live. We should be careful on what to eat because the organ is sensitive enough to trigger high blood and diabetes. Even pain relievers, antibiotics, diet pills and energy drinks could have an effect on our health.
I’m not against donating organs, I don’t even care giving out all of it since mine would be donated once I die, what I’m against at is when people makes money out of it. To sell a kidney in order to buy consumer goods disgusts me. I’d be happy to know that my organs would help save the lives of the needy but id never sell it for an iPad2 and a laptop that would be obsolete and outdated after a few years. Never! What vanity! Even if you say that latest Apple products like the iPhone and the iPad are in huge demand in China, and are seen as a badge of wealth and sophistication by young consumers, I’d still not sell it. Id rather be seen poor and working hard for what I want than to be famous for a short period of time. This is something we must all think about."

Whats the big deal? Kids dealing drugs!

PDEA is alarmed on increasing counts of minors being used by drug syndicates as couriers for their illegal drug trade. This is after they caught a 17 year old kid on a drug bust of Metro Manila Regional Office and PDEA on a suspected drug den at Makati city last June 7. They are using minors simply because they could be less suspicious. It is indeed effective since the count of minors being caught is increasing every year. Records from 2003 shows a total of 854 kids ages around 7 to 17 years old was caught working for drug dealers and this year alone, the count is at 85 and were still at the middle of the year so more would come. They are being used as pushers, workers on shabu laboratories and marijuana plantations.
I can’t help but feel pity for these children, I know for a fact that they were born out of love and their parents did not want this to happen to them but why get involved with drug dealing at such an early age? Is it because of poverty? Out of curiosity? Most of them are out of school youth, and they are being brought up knowing that drug dealing is a fast way to earn money. It is a gamble, for money and their freedom. Its either get caught or get rich but of course no one gets rich out of drug dealing especially if you’re a minor so the only option for them is to deal drugs and get caught eventually.
Under Section 6 of RA 9344 or known as the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006, states that minors 15 years old and below that may have any criminal case cannot be put to jail instead they will be under the custody of DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) till they reach the age of 16.
Imagine 854 that could have been our counties next hope, those that could have made changes in our country are now suffering because of some people abusing our minors. If only we are not on a third world country, on a place where crime is rampant, out of school youth are not being attended at and education is not a priority of the government. What we need is hope. Were quickly running out of it thus we have to act now, and act fast.

Education down the drain

Problems at school now became even more of a problem. Huge numbers students within a class, insufficient books, no ventilation, and one teacher for every 80 students. That is how you describe education in the Philippines, and it gets even worse; imagine being inside that classroom, all the noise, chitchats, humid and crowded place, how could you concentrate? Would they even learn anything there? For most of those who are sitting in the front row, maybe there is a chance that they would clearly hear what the teacher is saying but the question is, would they have enough supply of books or materials to use? Should they also share books? or should they be provided by DEPED? I remember when I was still at school, my elementary years was spent all day at school. Starts at 7:30 am till lunch time, then 1:30 down to 4:30 in the after noon, most of our subject discussion would last to two hours, and we enjoyed it. As far as I remember, we were around 35 at most that time, at high school around 40 and at college most would be at 25. No excuse not to learn anything, you will be spoon-fed by teachers, professors, doctors, professional trainers and all who made teaching their lives. We were provided with everything that we need at school, all we have to do is listen, think and learn.
I don’t know what the government is up to, why won’t they support the education in our country? If children is our country’s hope and future, imagine what would happen the years from now?

Backfire at Manoling

All this time we’ve been hearing a lot from Manoling, there’s been a lot of questions thrown at and most should be answered. But look at what’s happening, the accusations of Morato backfired at him, now everybody is curious on what’s happening and what happened before. it started a commotion that lead to further investigation on what really went wrong. Now everybody’s eye is at Manoling. All of us wants to know the truth, on what has been kept from public knowledge.
Just today, an investigation is taking place about the joint agreement of the previous PCSO officials, about the 50 years TMA thermal paper deal worth almost P50 million. They say that there has been no proper bidding for the contract hence it should not have been signed by the board. The current board members and Juico agreed to conduct and investigation about the issue. They say that the contract should be void and null since it did not go through proper proceedings. It is possible to file a case against former PCSO general manager and board vice-chair Rosario Uriate, former board members Manuel Morato, Jose Taruc, Raymundo Roquero and Ma. Fatima Valdes for signing the resolution last Nov. 2009 for the joint venture with TMA.
Also, the current PCSO director Mabel Villarica-Mamba discovered17 boxes containing guarantee letters issued by PCSO for some said patients. It is said that its worth a staggering P300 million and was issued by the previous official of the agency but when checked, they found out that only 20% of the said guarantee letters contain a valid name, the rest were just made up identities. I know that there are ghost employees but a “ghost patient”? They would really do anything for money. They don’t know if those letters and checks were released but they are trying to verify the matter. Also they say that it is possible that a specific hospital is involved with what’s happening. Guarantee letters can only be cashed out by the hospital who performed the said operation, most probably they issue this guarantee letters only to be cashed out for themselves.
There are also instances that more than three guarantee letter has been issued to a specific person every month, three succeeding months with all major operations, heart, liver and so forth. All exceeded the limit of a million pesos. Mamba said it is more or less 3 million in total for all the said procedure. All funds used is from the PCSO.With all that’s been happening, all that has been said and brought up, would you still wonder why Manoling is acting this way? Why she wants Juico to step down her office? Why he does not approve of Margie’s decision to fix what should be inside the PCSO? Because everything started from him, he created the system the one that is corrupt, it’s his pride and glory and he won’t let someone doing anything with it. He doesn’t want his mess being cleaned by somebody else.
The previous PCSO left 4 Billion deficit with hospitals, this explains why sometimes some of them are rejecting guarantee letters because they know that the fund is not sufficient enough to cover for all operation that has to be done. Now that Juico is the one behind the table that’s why she is the one they are trying to pull down,
On what ever angle you might be looking at this situation right now, I’m not saying that you should believe me but, wont you doubt Manoling? Wouldn’t you be wondering why he’s doing this? He’s trying to point it out to someone else before somebody finds out. Well guess what Manoling, we know what you did, what you’re doing and what you’re up to. You dug up a very deep grave for yourself, one you can’t climb out at. I wish for the best for you Manoling, I hope to see you inside prison once they fix the “special treatment” for prisoners.

The dirty Manoling

Wanna know something about crazy Manoling? Ok here it goes, first off, do you know someone personally who won the lotto? Or maybe even a friend of a friend? Bet you can’t name one huh? I have a good source that told me about this nation wide scam when Manoling was still in position. He said that Morato engaged in illegal transactions and bribery to get what he wants, even more so, he used the PCSO fund to buy hotels, condominium units and paintings to name a few. Worst is, he is declaring winners for the lotto even if there is none. I’m not saying that he’s a thief but the money that he’s taking is from our people’s pockets. He’s not even Filipino for crying out loud!

There’s this one instance where in the winner of the said lotto draw went to him to claim the prize but Morato simply said that there is already a winner and that the ticket was fake, thermal papers worth P50 million for security purposes can be counterfeited? Then why does the lotto machine accepted and verified the ticket as the winning combination? that’s too impossible, imagine, after watching on TV what the winning combination is, within less than 24 hours, someone was able to forge an exact copy of the winning ticket with all the security features in it.

Another one would be the winners, or should I say, are there really winners? Think about it, could you beat the odds of getting the right 6 digit number combination 1 out of 8 million. What are we betting for? Yeah maybe luck is on our side, you know how hard it is to get a royal flush? You have 52 cards at random and the chance to get a royal flush combination is, let’s say… 3 to 4 times your whole game play life. Yeah it’s possible but imagine 1 out of 8 million! C’mon! How come there is always a winner? We’d never know if there is or they are just saying that for press release. So where does it go if no body wins? On suitcases, transferred to an account named after you know who…

There’s this one instance that they announced someone won the lotto but once the lotto machines at lotto betting stations were checked, it shows that no body has won yet. Again, they wont tell you who won, they say it’s for security purposes, I say it’s a cover up! Scammers! They’ll say that someone won to hype things up and to get more bets, so that we could be hopeful that we could win the pot money but all that were doing is fattening those pockets of Mr. Morato. It’s an illusion, and we can’t help but to play his game…

There are also instances where the jackpot prize of P14.7 million would deplete to P4.5 million. And instead of having one winner, they would declare three. So lets say one would win P30 million, there would be two more to split the prize with to let it go down to P10 million, say goodbye to your P20 mill dude! Ha ha ha! Scam, scam, scam, our money, them spending it. they say that there has been a glitch on the system, really? C’mon! There’s no way I’d play nor gamble if a glitch on the system is possible.

Manoling please stop acting clean, when you were seated a lot of complaint has been filed against you, a lot of cases in court, still pending though because you bribed everybody you can. Millions of pesos were spent for those bribes so that you could get away from those shitty things you did. You should be put to jail right now, you are sick! And there’s no cure for what you have, its becoming worse and worse. For your age, you shouldn’t be doing this, blaming others for what you did, you might have a heart attack one of this days if you’d continue. Please Manoling, ask for forgiveness, when you still can.

RH bill or suffer...

Herd about the news lately about the RH bill??? I haven’t brought up my opinion about this topic before because I thought that were all capable of thinking logically but I was proven wrong, let me break my silence and share what I have in mind. First of all, I am an atheist and I don’t believe in religion. Also before you judge me on what I believe in, I’d like to remind you that we are all sinners and I’m not that much different to you. What I believe in is based on logic and possibilities, not on blind sided faith.
I like to stress out that the RH bill is not promoting abortion as what most of you have heard. It’s not even preventing people to have kids, it merely educating people on family planning. What’s wrong with that? Would you rather have eight kids whom you can’t feed than two you could send to college? Even the pope is not against the use of condoms because he was able to identify a problem that most countries are having right now, especially on third world countries, over population. I fail to see the point of the CBCP on why they are against this law, or rather, they are the ones failing to see what the law is for, what it is about and what would happen.
One priest at Baguio even ordered the people attending the mass to leave the church and stop attending because he believed they all supported the reproductive health bill. Is that how religion works? Should we be like robots and think what they think? Don’t we have freedom to express what we want and believe what is right for us? Even the president was called a bad catholic and his conscience is not well-formed just because of being a pro RH bill. They condemned it as anti-life and anti-family…really? First of, it’s not anti life, why? IT IS NOT ABORTION and most definitely not anti-family since it is pro family planning.
Try to check the news sometimes, the most common problem our country is facing right now is poverty, this can lead to theft, rape, abortion, and all the crimes that you could think of and we can’t blame our government for this. We need to be educated to know what is the right thing to do. It’s better to educate the people ASAP than to wait for them to learn from their mistakes.
They say that if you give a man fish, he will eat for a day. But if you teach him how to fish he will eat for a lifetime. People should be taught how to anticipate and handle their upcoming problems or better, not to commit those mistakes. Speaking about fish, what is the reason why we had the recent fish kill? Climate change and …exactly! Over population! That’s exactly what would happen if we go forth and multiply and multiply, and multiply… do you ever think that when god said those words, literally, that he meant multiply with no limit? There might be no limit but please, give some consideration for our planet, for our children.
What is worst than seeing our children snug fit on a class of 90? Do you think they would ever learn there? No ventilation, no books. 26 million enrolled this month for classes, that is already a quarter of our population and it keeps on counting. Would you rather go forth and multiply the CBCP way and see the next generation suffer or would you rather act now? Think Philippines, think.

The better PCSO

Manoling morato was questioned about a tie up contract worth P50 billion lasting for 50 years for the TMA thermal tickets for PCSO. Manoling explained that the contract was leagal and approved by the NEDA because of the benefits that the government would gain. He added that the contract includes a 50 year term for TMA to produce the thermal tickets for PCSO that would give 20% commission on every ticket they sell abroad and would also build their own P3billion plant here in the Philippines at no cost to PCSO. He also explained further that they chose TMA because they are the leading company to produce the best thermal tickets and that the said prints would last up to a year unlike other thermal paper prints that would only last up to 3 months. Blah blah blah…
Who in the right mind would sign a tie up for 50 years with a printing firm that would worth P50 billion??? There was not even a proper bidding for the contract. 50 years is a long time and I’m sure that if they don’t have any contract with TMA, some other firm will come and offer a better and cheaper product which would make them save a lot. For a piece of paper one would hold on to for a month at most, once the game is over, it goes to trash. So much for the P50 billion they spent for the contract. This is what they did before, and this is what Margie Juico it trying to fix right now.
Juico was able to increase the PCSO earnings of P6.8 billion last year to P7.6 billion and even generated P134.9 million extra earning than the 38.1 million PCSO had previously. The STL, KENO and Lotto also had a tremendous increase on sales since Juico took over. This first quarter alone, PCSO helped 32,824 indigent patients of out-patient charity clinics at QC hall, PCSO office at San Marcelino and Our Lady of Peace Hospital. Juico used these earnings to pay for the deficit of PCSO with the BIR. The said unpaid account was P1.2 billion and they were able to pay P2.9 Billion to cover the debt. She even brought down the advertising expenses to P500 million than of the 1.7 billion last years and was able to cut down their expenses on office rental of P2.4 million down to P1.9 million.
Juico is getting hammered because of these changes. Why? Because if you try to fix the problem, there would be less commission for those taking advantage of the poorly managed system. So much so that they will drag you down and make you look bad to take you out of position. If this wont change, then I guess there is no questioning what will happen next. Were digging our own graves if we won’t act now. If were being lead by these kind of people, we have no chance to recover…

Corruption at its finest

Our everyday news never fail to disgust me, it’s like a never ending list of stories intended to either make you hate and/or curse everyone that it talks about. Headlines usually are murders, theft, accidents, rape and political corruption to name a few. What’s the latest? Murderers walking in and out of prison and the world’s worst media killers pleading not guilty for being accused of murdering 57 political opponents and journalists. For convicts, this country is at top of their list, like a hotel with the best accommodations one could get. That’s how the justice system works here, or rather, there is no justice system here if you can pay. Here is where we have another term for money,” justice”.
They say that money is the root of all evil, if that’s the case then I guess our country must have a very rich soil for harboring corruption. Were having an up growth here and most probably we could have taken care of these political weeds crawling over our nation if we still have our “corrupted” fertilizer funds. Money feeds the Philippine jurisprudence. What is justice, politics and power without money? Ask a Filipino and one would answer “Nothing…” They caught one who went in and out of Bilibid and now one after the other, they keep on finding out that this happened before and it still keeps on happening till today, why? Because money is power thus you have justice by your side and if you have justice by your side, you have freedom to do anything.
The BuCor must mean Bull$#!+ and Corrupt if this case keeps on happening, I don’t see any reason for special treatment inside the correctional facility to take place if its not because of money. Justice system is not "just" if the people’s minds around it is being corrupted and are left to indulge themselves on luxury. That’s why Filipinos are good at criticizing because that’s the only thing that we can do, criticize. Why? Because we can’t do anything on what is about to happen even if we know how it will end up. All we can do is talk and ask about what they’re doing and watch. I’d even bet that the Ampatuan massacre case will be dismissed or the accused found not guilty after a few years. They will always find a way to prolong the case. I’m sure that the Ampatuans are getting well acquainted with delaying tactics and motion for reconsideration as of this moment. Most probably witnesses will be killed and evidences will disappear without a trace. You know how it goes…
What could you expect? Our country has more lawyers that our law and what do they do? They argue, debate and reason out with each other, by all means, the will use every tactic they know to win the case, they will try to mislead and confuse you to get the information they want to hear from your mouth but what happens next? After the case, you will see those two lawyers who battled is out on the court hanging out with each other, playing golf, sipping coffee and all those things. This is what passes for justice in the Philippines, if you don’t have money and power, result is; the victim becomes the guilty and the guilty, the victim. Even if the most obvious of crimes has been committed, it’s easy to play dumb, blind and deaf once you get paid well for it. The best evidence that would surely win a case is money. In the Philippines, this is the law. Money is the law.

PCSO on turmoil

I watched the interview of Gil Santos, Editorial Board of VSPAN.asia online with Manoling Morato and I asked my self, weren’t these questions answered a week ago? Same questions being asked over and over again, same accusations that are still not been proven, made up issues being thrown at… Mr Gil Santos, a good friend of Manoling didn’t even had a good interview, he just listened to what ever Manoling has to say. Always agreeing on those words said by the ex-chair. Obviously, it would be a biased opinion that you will hear from him. He also said at the start of the segment that they want to get behind the story, the REAL story. C’mon Mr. Santos. And you call watching the television and listening to the radio a mere idiotization? Even Manoling himself got most of his information from newspapers and television,(a couple from rumors), So I guess you’re also accusing him of being idiotized as well? tsk…
Manoling stated that he’s fought pornography when he was with MTRCB, well I agree on that but how about his personal pornographic life? I know I have no right to dwell on this topic but again, I’d like to stress out that this interview is biased. They only say what is good for them and tend to break those who come across their path. I pity you Mr. Morato, your tongue comes to life every time you’ve been proven wrong. You say word unnecessary to the issue to persuade the minds of the public. But enough of these, lets just go back to the interview, to what has been uttered by the tongue that has its own life.
Again he has a lot to say about the transfer of PCSO to the new location, and also about the shuffling of employees, and those who are cut out of employment, mostly those who are contractual and not really qualified for the job. A lot of you may be asking why but let me tell you, and educate those who are not on the know that the building being used by the PCSO at QI is not at good condition at all, the building was reported to crumble once an earthquake occurs, also the main reason why Juico terminated the plan to purchase the QI building. Manoling said he is taking it personal when Margie a member of his board when he was chairman, who also signed the transfer to QI now decided to vacate the place even though the contract states that there is a 50 year lease agreement with an option to purchase. This past week alone, there have been news that parts of the country has been hit by magnitude 5 earthquakes, enough to bring the QI to dust. Thankfully it’s pretty far from the location. Also, there is no plan to sell the property, no evidence that Margie and her husband was ever looking for a buyer of the property. Manoling only read the tabloids saying that the QI was being sold to Ayala land but on further investigation, Ayala said they had no contact with what so ever regarding the QI grounds.
Now about the transfer and the termination of employees, well, obviously, all of them have been transferred to PICC, so I guess there’s really no need to complain against that since everyone was affected. I doubt if there would be someone still willing to work at the QI grounds. And for those provincial transfers, the accusations was based on rumors and made up stories. Those who have been transferred to a new location were also near their residence, not that of what Morato was saying and for those who have been cut were at most ghost employees and under qualified contractual employees that has been given position by the previous chairperson. Why dispense them? Well, getting rid of those unnecessary people that the PCSO are paying and bringing in qualified workers to the proper position like degree holders and civil service holders is indeed a good move. Well justified as I see it.
The interview also had a run through the issue of Margie not wanting to help the stage 4 cancer patients at all. This is one of the worst accusations Manoling had ever thrown to Margie. Calling her a murderer is beyond forgiving. People, please be educated that a stage 4 cancer patient has a very small chance of survival and potentially a very short time to live, its not true that Margie never wanted to help them rather, they undergo the usual process first of getting qualified for the program that would undergo checkups and assessments first before being approved for a guaranteed letter for the surgery or any other medical procedure. Cancer and other serious ailments may exceed the P20,000 cap limit per person that could reach up to a million since it is a serious case. Yes, stage 4 cancer is curable but if findings would show that there is no chance for the patient that doesn’t mean that they wont give any rather they will still give assistance only to prolong the lives of the cancer victim.
If Margie killed those cancer patients then how many have you killed when you were still the chairman Manoling?
Manoling said that what he’s doing is a personal commitment, and that the present PCSO is causing irreparable damage that could make or break the administration. Again his tongue spoke for itself when he said that the PCSO and Margie Juico has no heart for the poor and that he never saw her empathize with the poor people. If that’s the case Morato, who does? You? I always believe in the saying “if you’re not part of the solution, most definitely you are part of the problem”. I know that this is not the end of this issue, no one is letting their guards down but this is what I’m sure of, the truth will surely prevail.

Betting for charity

There’s nothing more fulfilling that giving to those who are in need, even when there’s only little to give. The reason most probably is our thriving culture, the way we were brought up and at most, if not all, our religious beliefs. It is astonishing to see that even the poor gives whatever little they can to help others. Students would even give donations from a portion of their lunch money, even I am guilty here, I can’t stand not giving those street children anything at all. Even if I know that their parents would take the money and use it for something else. We always have this kind of generosity for others, a willingness to help the underprivileged, a bond that keeps us together. This is the Filipino way.
This most probably is the reason why our country is called the most charitable in Asia because for as long as someone is in need, there will always be someone who will give. Or it could be the other way around: for as long as someone is willing to give, there will always be someone who is ready to ask, for what ever the reason they may have. They say that there is nothing more addictive and fulfilling than giving without expecting anything in return, but what if there is something that you could expect for? What if you can help others and get something back from it? Better right?
There is as such, we just tend to forget every time we bet and play the LOTTO, there is a portion of it that will be used to help others who are in need. PCSO can generate huge amount of funds that can support treatments for the needy. That is also one of the reasons why the PCSO chairmanship is one of the most-coveted government posts nowadays. There is just too much money made in this office that even Manoling Morato himself still wants to get involved on issues he shouldn’t be involved at. Even if you transfer the PCSO to some other rented out location, it continues to make money wherever it may be. betting in lotto has become a habit for many.one would know when the jackpot already reached hundreds of millions, its when people are starting to line up on betting stations at every street corner. thats the LOTTO effect… we think that were just playing the raffle draw but infact PCSO is alloting a part of it for charity. At this very moment, someone is receiving charity.who ever it may come from, I am certain that help will come in whatever form when the need arises. Generally, we are a good people. This goodness, whether innate or indoctrinated, is what drives our altruism...

The uncurable filipino disease

President Benigno Aquino III went to Thailand with his 52-men delegation with an allocated fund of P4.5 million. It was said that this would cover most of the expenses such as air fare, hotel accommodations, food, transportation, and telecommunications and equipment requirements and the purpose of the visit to Thailand is to seek, strengthen and to fortify the bilateral relations of our country with Thailand, as well as with the rest of our neighbors in the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Again people are reacting, P4.5 million is a huge amount. To think that the travel is pretty near our country, a lot would think that it is too much and would he really need to bring his 52-men delegation? Another add-on to the expenses…
Ok now, I think I see some trend here, remember when President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her US entourage's had their said “lavish dinner” at Le Cirque and Bobby Van’s stake house? She had her cabinet secretaries and 27 congressmen who joined her in her US trip but they were merely invited guests in the two dinners, and that, as president, she is entitled to amenities befitting a head of state but somebody said that Mrs. Arroyo could be guilty of indirect bribery for letting private citizens pay for the expensive dinners. She may also be liable for unethical conduct since the code of ethics for public officials says they should “lead simple lives”. C’mon! How do you think a president could ever live a “NORMAL” life? Ok, now did I just state that they were invited? In fact, Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez is one of those who paid for the alleged $20,000 (around P1 million) dinner at the fancy Le Cirque restaurant.
Also, we can’t forget the so called luxury car of president Noynoy, It’s a Porsche! And it’s worth 4.5 million! (Also not a normal spending for a car) He bought this at the time of the oil price hike. A lot were irked with the thought of a president getting a luxury car when most people are living below the poverty line but did they know that it was a 3rd hand car and he had it in exchange to his BMW? No! Nobody knew at first, they thought that he used the government’s money for it but he didn’t. I don’t see anything wrong about selling an old car and getting a car loan for a better one, even if it’s a Porsche worth 4.5 million. Now would you rather see the head of our nation ride a Jeepney everyday to work?
There are and will be a lot of scandals that will be spread out with a malicious intent, hopefully these will educate the people but the problem is when people would easily believe on this rumors and gossips. They would just simply let others to think for themselves. As they say, “if you can’t beat them, Join them” or rather,” if you don’t know what the truth is, join the bigger group”. It’s really ironic that we see and react to other peoples action but fail to see our own mistakes. We quickly judge others but look at what were doing, were pulling others down. A scandal may be nothing more than a rumor that many of us try to believe without further knowledge of what’s really happening. Our country doesn’t need this kind of mentality. We are looking for ways to dishonor others by first dishonoring ourselves, this so called "crab mentality" is like a Filipino disease. we need cure, and we need it fast.

Jail + Money = Freedom!!!

Diokno is non- stop at pointing (middle?) fingers, if he’d be Edward scissor hands, I’m sure somebody’s cut already. He said he shouldn’t be the one to blame for the Leviste f*** up. that his office is not even near the prison gates, and also not the one who monitors the prisoners. Obviously Diokno, that’s why you sit behind a desk, you run the place and use your position to get someone to work for you. He keeps on washing his hands but the stench is still there. Point at one or two people and the whole country if you would but still it points back at you, Diokno.
Now here comes tita Miriam Defensor, as usual, “defending what she thinks is right” but this time I think she’s going too far. She approves of the pay to stay program. She said it would be a good help to rehabilitate and renovate the Bilibid prison. It would take P500 to P1000 to stay out of the congested area, in layman’s term, “outside prison”. Also accommodations would include a beautiful view of the lake, updated news papers, good food and bed, and also a mobile phone. “Doesn’t sound much of a prisoner to me” but if you really want to push it to its extent, you could get internet access and air-conditioning as well, of course for a higher price. Pretty much like what the Ampatuans availing right now.
The Commission on Human Right is against pay to stay. Who wouldn’t be? Why would you give the Ampatuan, Leviste and Jalosjos to name a few minimum security? Let’s cite one good example, Frank Chua “ real name Tsai Jung Shui” a convicted Taiwanese drug lord escaped the New Bilibid Prisons since 2004. it was said that before the escape, he was able to slip out of jail twice already, first was 1990 and second was at 2003, what’s funny is, no body noticed that Chua had escaped Bilibid for years now. His term carries a lifetime imprisonment but where is Chua? Dealing drugs again most probably and at the same time laughing at us, at how easy it is to get out of Bilibid. And even if he could not get out, the pay to stay program would provide him a mobile phone and internet access, enough to continue and manage his drug dealing empire.
Do we need this Pay to stay program? Would it be Just and Fair? While you guys are still pondering on this issue, frankly, I’d say NO. This wouldn’t help cut down crime rates, I guess the only time that would happened is when there’s a Pacquiao fight but think of it this way, money would never pay for the sins committed by those convicts. They should all be equally treated and most of all, no one should be above the law. What say you?

Only in the philippines

The president wants details and explanation on this so called “Palos act” of the former Batangas Governor Antonio Leviste. He was reported to have left the National Bilibid Prisons premises a couple of times. There was even a video of him wandering outside with his driver. Leviste, who is serving a 12-year sentence for killing of his long-time aide, Rafael de las Alas, inside his office in Makati City in 2007, slipped out of jail last week because he claimed that he had a toothache and wanted to go the dentist.
Diokno stated that Leviste, was a “living-out” prisoner in view of his age (currently 71), but he should have stayed within the 536-hectare prison reservation. On the other hand, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said she did not issue any permit to Leviste since she assumed office, making Leviste's wandering act illegal.
It is expected that an incarcerated person should stay and remain inside a penitentiary but this issue just proved us wrong, Diokno said he warned Leviste when he learned he had abused his privileges. He also said he could not monitor all the prisoners at the New Bilibid Prison. “What can we do? We have to guard 32,000 prisoners in Bilibid,” stated Diokno.
Last Thursday, The Justice Department formed a fact-finding committee to find out who should be held criminally and administratively liable for allowing Leviste to leave the prison. The department also filed a complaint of evasion of service of sentence against Leviste and his driver, Nilo Solis, a charge that carries a two- to six-year jail term.
Heres whats on the news last night:
MANILA, Philippines - The dentist of former Batangas Governor Antonio Leviste revealed the governor had no appointment for dental check up last May 18, the day he slipped out of New Bilibid Prison and was subsequently arrested by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents.
Florenda Yu, front desk staff of Dr. Pio Tripon, showed ABS-CBN their logbook showing that Leviste did not make any request for appointment on May 18.
"Walang tawag, walang appointment sa amin si Mr. Leviste," she said.
Tripon said every time Leviste visited his clinic, he communicates with escorts from the Bureau of Corrections. He said he checked on Leviste only twice since September.
Now, I couldn’t forget what Leviste stated during the press conference days ago, he said “As god as my witness, I’d be struck by lightning and be damned to eternal hell if someone else is responsible for my going out”. After what has been happening, Leviste still has the audacity to state those words. Money and power will never suffice to justify this matter. Who in the right mind would let a criminal go wandering out of prison? There is a good reason why they are locked up and there should be a better explanation on why Leviste was let loose. As for Diokno, do you think this is a joke? No! We’ll find out soon enough…

Q&A: 9/9 - Juico, 0/1 - Manoling

On Juico:

1. Is it true that PCSO is bankrupt?
Margie Juico stated that there is almost a billion pesos worth of net loss when she took over as the chairperson of PCSO and they found out that the deficit started since the year 2005. She’s obviously not at fault here since she only inherited this said deficit from the previous chairperson who started this fiasco. She was able to bring it down to P700 million net loss today and the charity fund down to P2billion instead of the P3billion deficit that they had when she took over the position. Good work Margie!

2. Why transfer to PICC?
Juico said they spent 300 million to rehabilitate the OI grounds but it wasn’t enough. The place is still crumbling down to bits and the only thing that they can think of is to transfer it to PICC which would be safer and more beneficial for PCSO. Why? It’s cheaper, the place can accommodate all of the staff and it has better facilities.

3. is there a P2billion transfer of PCSO funds?
The Transfer of PCSO funds to UCPB was done for the purpose of saving. the said bank is capable of handling government accounts and funds, not all the funds was transferred, only a portion is with UCPB because of the better offer by the said bank regarding interest rates of the said account. It has been decided by the board and not solely by Juico. All placements have been decided and has a collective decision by the board of directors.

4. Selective process on helping the poor?
40% of the charity funds goes directly to the mandated beneficiary (tuberculosis patients) and the rest of it will be spent on those who are qualified for a medical assistance grant, then again, everything has its limit, even the PCSO that’s why the board had a resolution to have a limit of only P4.5 million to be spent daily for assistance since 2008 else the funds will run out. They can’t just give out grants. They have to sort out those who are asking for assistance, who are really in need… now are they selective? Yes, in a way that they will put you in front of the line if you really need medical attention ASAP.

5. Will the deficit affect the prize of the lotto raffle?
Simple, the deficit is with the charity and operating fund. It is different from the prize fund. Prize fund will never be touched.

6. Condo developer bought QI grounds?
Manoling is not even sure who the developer is, they say that its Ayala Land but when they checked it, came out that Ayala is really out of the picture, the grounds is not even for sale yet there might be some whose interested but the bottom line, there is no proof that there’s a developer who bought the QI grounds for the purpose of constructing a condominium.

7. Juico’s son is her own chief of staff?
Yes it is true, and there is nothing wrong with it. It is a confidential position and no law has been broken. It is legal and it’s right. This is not the first time this happened, the chairman before Juico also had relatives working for them inside PCSO

8.Juico contributed 5 million to the campaign of President Aquino?
Margie simply said to ask her husband about the issue and not her. In my own opinion, the said issue is not really an issue. Manoling said that they did this to make sure that there will be a position for Margie once the Noy Noy wins the election. Sure enough Aquino won the election and right after that he appointed Margie as chair person of PCSO. Why? Not because of the support her family did during the election but rather she is the only one well qualified for the said position.

9.PCSO is heartless and doesn’t care?
The issue regarding the child house in QI was half told, Juico gave the child house a couple of notices to find a place to transfer the children to a new location because the place is crumbling and PCSO is moving out of the QI grounds. The said building could collapse at any time. She was not informed that there has not been a search for relocation and the only time she knew about this is when she saw it in the news, the same time of the final date of the notice to vacate. There were children pleading not to relocate them because they have nowhere to go. Now people are calling PCSO heartless and that they don’t care about the children. Juico never wanted to drive out the children off the grounds; she even offered to find a place to relocate them instead. As what Margie said “it became an emotional hostage drama.” And yes it really did. Juico who wanted to help relocate those children is now the bad guy in the said story.

On Manoling:

1. can you provide evidence on your accusations?

i thought so… hahaha!

Encore Manoling! Encore!

I’d like to stress out that with the current issue, Morato really has a lot to say, he always had, he thinks he’s got it all right where as everything else falls under untrustworthy statements.
He wanted to have a position, he can’t live without it and now that he’s out of the game, he wants to destroy those who are seated.
He always wants to get noticed, he’s so gay (no offense to my friends) but this guy wants attention, he wants to be the new queen of intrigue and controversy “the end for Kris”.
Why not make your own version of TMZ Manoling?
Go get your people to spy on someone then televise it right away without further investigation.
I know you’re good at that. Money and popularity at last maning!
It’s always what you wanted right?
I tell you, I’m a huge fan, even your blasphemy and insult to the Aquino family shouldn’t have been published but then again, it was so humorous that I can’t stop laughing about the idiotic statements you gave out.
Why not make a book instead, I’m sure it will be lined up with Kuburikikiam, Pugad Baboy and Bob Ong. You are so good at making thing up but you know what’s more hilarious?

YOU!

And what you made out of your boring life. I swear I will follow, subscribe, watch and listen to whatever you say.

Encore!
Encore!
Bravo Manoling!

Oh my God Manoling!

"Former PCSO and MTRCB Chairman Manoling Morato revealed that men approached him and offered to rig the polls in favor of Gilbert Teodoro for one billion pesos. Morato was stunned! Imagine, the men were asking one billion pesos from him! He subsequently rejected the offer saying the most that he had given a man was P1,500. Two hours na ‘yon!"

Manoling! tsk tsk tsk, Tomas Morato (the man not the street) most definitely would despise you if he is still living.

Manuel Garcia tainted by graft and curruption

Complaints had been filled yesterday before the Office of the Ombudsman against the former PCSO advertising and promotions manager Manuel Garcia.

Alexander Quisumbing representing Quizgem and Ludovico Yuseco of Cross-Channel complained about the cut Garcia asked for every time they collected payment from the government agency for their advertisement. They say that Garcia collected from them a total of P16.1 million from Quizgem since February 2006 to January 2008 and a total of P12.6 million in commissions from Cross Channel since2009 to June 2010.
Wow! That is a whopping P28.7 mill!!!

So where is Garcia now? Gone, hiding, spending... "Hopefully missing or kidnapped" haha! They say that he asked for a leave of absence for one year citing health reasons, ONE YEAR my friend!!! I thought they were allowed for a maximum of six months leave but this guy wanted to extend it. Why? He needed more time to spend his ill gotten wealth. He even submitted a health certificate for the said condition, "probably a huge fan of Erap". Whatever that condition is, he shouldn’t have gone without a trace. He just made it more obvious. Imbecile! I can’t stop thinking how stupid this guy is but I can’t blame him. When you’re in position and nobody is complaining about what you’re doing, whether it is right or wrong, and if there is cold cash in front of you, wouldn’t you take it? This country is not listed as one of the corrupt country for nothing right? He’s just doing his role. What would you expect?

The way I see it, this won’t happen if those two (Quisumbing and Yuseco) hadn’t done their part. They fuelled the flame that now became a bushfire they can’t put out. They say that Garcia asked for his commission, that’s what he wanted, what he needed, and they gave it to him. You give money to the corrupt and complaint after? Are you insane? Those guys are the one to blame. Someone should file on what they did instead. Do they even think they can get their money back? You wish! Serves you right…

Morato questioned Juico

Morato went out enraged and on a rampage against Margie Juico. He wants to take it on court. Morato filed a complaint against Juico, asking for an explanation on why she would rather transfer the PCSO office to PICC when the QI ground is rent free. Well Mr. Morato, as you may know, the lease agreement with the PSTI  (Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc.) is indeed rent free for the sole reason of a portion of the proceeds of PCSO shall go to the said institution for further research on tuberculosis and treatment.  It is merely P2.4 million a month grant to PSTI and QI. Juico is not at fault here, the place is crumbling down, they had a couple of notices to vacate the property. She made the right choice of transferring it to PICC since it would only cost P2 million monthly rent. If only Morato could see the reason of transfer, would he rather see the employees of PCSO buried under that old building than transfer to a better location? You be the judge my friend.
